Apps not working

Please excuse my ignorance but I am newbie and have alot to learn about the Iphone. Today I added a couple of new songs to the Iphone and in the process did something that has caused two apps downloads ( Shazaam & The Weather Channel to not work. My Iphone says they are installed but when I touch the icons they appear to start but instead goes back to the homepage. Can someone tell me how to get these to work again?

happens to me. i tried restarting iphone to no avail. syn would then lock up my computer

ended up having to do a freaking restore. this has happened to me 3 times

This happens to me now and then on a jailbroken iphone. Easiest fix is to just download another app. Make it a free app, when it happens again just delete the app and redownload. All apps will come good again once you download another one.

Probably missing something but when I go to apps store to download either of these it tells me they are already installed. Still have the icons on homepage. How do you delete?

Hold down on app until it starts to wiggle, all apps will wiggle at this time. A small x will also appear on the app. Delete whichever apps you want....except for the ones that came preloaded
