I re-jailbroke a week or so ago and lately my iPhone has been being weird. After installing backgrounder, almost all the stock apps open instantly - no animation, they just pop up and are instantly usable. Mail, Safari and iPod all do this.

I don't know if it's a glitch, but I like it!

Anyone else experience this?

No, that's why I think it's strange. I've never run any of those apps in the background with backgrounder. The only app I've used it with is IM+.

Try opening up one, then force-quitting (holding down the home button until the app closes, 6+ seconds). Does it still open instantly? I wish mine did

Just tried it and it opened with the effect as you said. Another thread blames the mere fact that backgrounder is installed alters the behavior of apps apple already allows to be run in he background.
