I'm a little concerned that with installing Lion this summer lot of apps and plugins will stop working properly.

Do you think most if not all apps will require new Lion support/ update in order to work properly?

Most are working great after the first developer preview release. Devs should have everything ready about a month before release. But if you want to play it safe just double-check before release.

And you can now initiate FaceTime from Address Book. Which was also completely redesigned by the way. Sure that was actually mentioned already though.
