Anyone got any thoughts on this issue? I love the APP but they start to slip out of my ears after an hour. Yes I use q-tips and yes I actually do clean my ears, even using alcohol wipes to test. This occurs in both ears over varying amounts of time and on each of the sizes too.

I really don't want to go back to my AP2's, so I am after some suggestions...

TIA

I modified mine by taking a pair of Comply tips and shoving the apple tips through them and then folding them over. They stay in much better now.

I have the same problem. I tested this while exercising and found that certain sizes last 5-10 minutes while other sizes last longer at ~20minutes. There are no ear tips (unmodified) that feel secure for prolonged periods.

Yeah i get this too unfortunately. Was really excited about these because I've had both other versions and any sort of vigorous movement resulted in them falling out.

These are loads better but still not 100%. Not Apple's fault as they seem to cater for the masses now with these, my ear canals are just awkward!

I think this is just down to the shape of your ear unfortunately. AirPods don't work for me but the Pros are rock solid.

Other than returning them you could wait until 3rd party companies come out with their (inevitable) range of different tips?

Someone will introduce silicone stability wings for these soon. I have put them on the original Airpods and not only did they redirect audio better and increase bass, but they hold the AirPods in place no matter what I'm doing.

Sounds like theres a lot of people who never had issues with the AirPods 1/2 have some degree of trouble with the new ones and vice versa. I had right ear pain with the pro and returned them. For 250 bucks they need to be as comfy as possible. Sticking with my gen 2.

The actual part of the AirPod pro that goes in your ear is much larger in comparison to the standard AirPods and it’s pushing on the ear more for some causing the issue.

That's what I'm doing. I wasn't a fan of the original design but am quite happy with the APP. Used silicon tips for years in my LG headsets. Still, I've noticed the last couple days they do feel like they are loosening to the point of falling out (haven't yet)... when by comparison the LG tips are always snug and tight in the ear.

So IMHO it's just a matter of waiting for aftermarket (?) tips to come out... which is what I plan to do. No other complaints about APP.

I love the APP, but they literally will just fall out of my ear with virtually no warning. I have tried every size tip and it makes no difference. I will probably have to return them as they are so unpredictable in terms of staying in. My regular AirPods stay in with no problem whatsoever.

Do you have a picture of the modification?

I'm in the same boat. I really like my APP. The old airpods were unusable for me due to fit, but I can work out with the APP and they are quite comfortable. My left APP first perfectly, however the right side, while secure just feels a bit less snug. I do hope Comply or the like comes with compatible tips soon.

Like I said, it's just a matter of waiting on aftermarket tips. Nice job. I actually thought about doing something like this myself with the various tips I have laying around for my LG Tone headset. Now I just might.
Trick is that the comply’ s need to have a big enough tube diameter. Carefully roll up the rubber ear tip and push it through the cylinder with something like a lollipop stick or q-tip with the cotton removed, so as not to puncture it. Took me about 5 minutes total.

I found that going down to a smaller size on one ear seemed to help it stay put, as if the AirPod could rest more securely into the ear geometry. Couldn’t move down on both ears though due to a bad seal, trying to decide if my OCD can handle the feeling of two different sizes between the ears lol.

I did this - the seal was great. However I found the vacuum in my ear was too strong. I've never experienced this when using any other comply foam tips with other earbuds, so I assume it has something to do with the design of the APP. At the end of hte day, there's a reason for hte two small vents in the original APP silicon tips. the small vents get covered with the comply foam.

This actually makes me think Comply will have a hard time making a product for the APPs.
