Hi there - with the iOS 13.4 release today, Apple is adding USB/Bluetooth cursor support.

I would like to use this thread to specifically track apps that have added USB/Bluetooth mice for Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) / VNC beyond the handful of specialty mice that have supported this functionality for some time, such as the Citrix X1 mouse - https://store.citrix.com/store/citrix/en_US/pd/ThemeID.37713000/productID.317779200

For my own setup, I'm using a Logitech K400 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014EUQOGK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) with a USB C to USB A dongle (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CVX3516/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1).

Keyboard support works just fine, would be awesome if upon iOS 13.4 installation, RDP cursor support 'just works' with either Jump (https://jumpdesktop.com/) or Microsoft Remote Desktop (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/microsoft-remote-desktop/id714464092).

I'll report back later today upon iOS 13.4 release if either app happens to support the trackpad on my K400.

Everything 'just works' in iOS, it's awesome! I think RDP/Jump will need to be updated though; the cursor on the screen for the remote desktop in Jump or RDP isn't tracking with the new cursor that's present across iOS as I move my finger on the trackpad. But that should be forthcoming.

Have you tried all of the Gesture Profiles in Jump? I currently use the one called “Trackpad” which moves the remote mouse as I drag my finger across my screen.

Very interested to hear how your setup works with Jump Desktop and Citrix!
I tried magic trackpad 2 with Citrix just now. Unfortunately they have not updated the app to recognise it as a full on remote mouse. You can use it like you would with any touch interface e.g. apple pencil or your finger. Hope they add full mouse and trackpad support.

I can confirm that RDP via Jump is working well.

RDP via RDP isn’t working at the moment.

I’ve been using a bluetooth mouse (Windows version) and was curious if there is any trick to exit apps besides either hitting having the on screen home button?

You can program one of the buttons on the mouse to go home in assistive touch settings.

Yes, I bought it yesterday because of this - it works great with my Win10 laptop & desktop from my 12.9 Pro. Bonus - I use it to access my desktop from my laptop.

Does Fig have iPadOS 13.4 mouse support? I don't have a Bluetooth mouse on hand, so I cannot test it out myself.

Does the cursor snap to all the buttons and stuff in the app?

Citrix seems to be substantially behind on this issue. I just checked Citrix’s forums, and it looks as if Citrix employees were not even aware that they could provide for generic mouse/trackpad support - i.e., non-X1 - in iPadOS 13.4. See here — https://discussions.citrix.com/topi...be-supported-for-the-citrix-worspace-ios-app/

I hope that Citrix figures this out and updates Workspace soon because the 12.9 Pro with the Magic Keyboard would be perfect for travel and I do not want to use the X1 (though I guess I have some time before I have to worry about travel again).

Many developers seem to be substantially behind on the issue. Maybe some of them think it is too niche to bother with?

That may be true for some developers, but Citrix knows that there is a very large group of iPad users that work through Citrix—so many that they developed the X1 mouse several years back so that iPad users could have full mouse support in Citrix. It could be that Citrix is contemplating not adding generic mouse support so that people have to keep buying and using the X1, but I cannot imagine that will go over well with Citrix’s enterprise customers.
