Hi, is there any app that would keep a persistent connection through wifi?
I dont' want iOS to drop the wifi connection every couple of minutes after putting my phone to sleep.

I'm currently using a radio app with the volume turned all the way down - but that's less than ideal.

I would appreciate any ideas/suggestions.

thanks

If any exist you woudl at least need ot be jailbroken. I assume you are on a 3G device or old fw?

What's the reason you want to keep it alive?

There may be other alternatives instead of wasting the battery.

I'd assume it's to avoid push notifications draining any (albeit small) amount of his data plan.

I really wish Apple would make this an option like it is on Android. I live on the bottom of a hill and have terrible cell signal, so I'd rather my wifi stay connected so that my notifications can keep pouring in without any problems. It really doesn't use that much battery on other phones.
