Office and other apps have started to unexpectedly quit? have repaired permissions and uninstalled now installer will not run to re install. It brings up the same error. All other mac apps seem fine. Hardware test brings up a memory issue any one else seen this??

Bad RAM chip. Had it happen in December.... i didn't believe Apple, but Crucial said it was plausible.
TOok me FOREVER and a day to figure out which of the 2 was bad though - i finally got it predictable to crash on install of OS with one chip, either slot.
All is fine since i pulled it out (and since replaced it).
