Hi
I have been having this problem since iOS 8.4.
After I update all the apps in Itunes, I sync my iphone so that the iphone 6+ will get the latest updates. In the past two months or so. I have not been able to update the apps using this method. Contents and media will update without any problems.
When I look at the list of apps on the app screen, you will see the button update. When I don't click on it, nothing happens. When I click on it, it changes to will update.
After I click on it, it will NOT UPDATE the app on the iphone 6+ as I do not see it copying the app over to the phone. What is another strange thing is that the line bar that shows the different contents in colors at the bottom of itunes, once I click on the button to update the app and click on sync, it will shrink the app bar.
I have tried everything including having the hardware checked by Apple (no problem) and restoring a new iOS and restoring the backup but this has not been resolved. It never happened before until Apple Music came about. Even after updating to iOS 9 and Itunes 12.3, I still have the same problem. The only way I update my app now is via wifi. But I am not always in a wifi environment.
Short of restoring it as a new phone and then importing the apps one by one and losing all the data and syncing the media. Any ideas?
