Apps will not open

My fiance updated her iPad 2 is iOS 5 this morning, and none of the third party apps will open. They show as open in the multitasking bar, but they won't actually appear on the screen. She slides between apps with the multitouch gesture, which will switch between them, but then one of them is frozen, which seems to suspend the multitouch.


Any thoughts?

Needs a sticky, try this though. Download any free, small app and open it. Then try opening one of your other apps, see if that works.

Had the same issue and this fixed it for me.
