Hello,

In the iPad accessories forum there is a thread for those who've considered going iPad Pro only. With iPadOS that's become a stronger possibility. For some on the fence who haven't wanted to try the beta on their precious ( understandable ) expensive tablets. In that thread there was a post by @spiderman0616 who listed the apps they use. I thought perhaps it might help some to know what apps are being used along with iPadOS that make going iPad only possible.

For myself in no particular order:

  • Procreate
  • Clip Studio Paint
  • Medibang Paint
  • Notability
  • Pages
  • Untitled
  • Anyfont
  • Comixology
  • Comic Zeal
  • Kindle
  • Books
  • Dropbox
  • Notes - this, because the version for iPadOS has some flexibility if you get creative in it's use & it's easy.

Thus far those have been my various go to apps, besides the obvious mail & entertainment apps.

I'm thinking with iPadOS it might not convince a lot more people to go iPad only, but I think quite a few people will be surprised what they are now capable of on the iPad.

Good thread topic. I’ll list them here too. Note that I am not on iPadOS beta and will not install iPadOS until public release. (Been burned by betas too many times.) These are all my favorite and most used apps as far as productivity:

Affinity Designer
Affinity Photo
Procreate
LumaFusion
Notion
GarageBand
Notability
OneNote
Outlook
Mail
Slack

Of course I use my iPad Pro a lot for entertainment and web browsing and all that fun stuff, but the list above is of the apps I just can’t live without as far as content creation and work tasks. I also use some project management apps for my job, but I figure nobody will know/care what those are so I didn’t bother including them.
