Hi;

I am living in a unsupported iTunes store country, i somehow managed to get an iTunes US account to get podcasts and album artwork. I can purchase music,video etc... by redeem code too.(gift cards i buy from eBay) But in the appstore i can't even download free apps. It wants billing information. If i enter a redeem code(currently there aren't any codes) will i be able to buy apps and get free apps? Thank you...

I buy apps with the gift cards all the time. I do have a credit card number on my account, but don't use it. Just the gift cards.

If you've opened an account with a gift card there should be a 'None' option in the Billing Info screen.

thank you very much for your attention. And do you think eBay is safe for iTunes gift card thing?

BTW: None is selected in the billing info screen but there aren't currently a redeem code entered or an active gift card. But still when i want to download a free app it says: "Your accounts billing info has been changed" I hope it doesn't give the same error after getting a gift card.

i get my itunes cards (and sell them sometimes, but not anymore) from ebay. just get them from a seller who has sold many of them in the past. If you want, i can give you the seller id of the person who i bought a $50 itunes code from. I received the code in about 2 hours via email after i paid for it.

a 15$ would be better to get started. If it all goes wrong i doesn't work because of the country thing i don't want to get a useless code worth of 50 dollars.:) i better start with 15 and than buy 50.
