I downloaded weatherbug and myspace mobile from the Iphone. Now the appstore shows a 2 above it and says both of these apps need updates. However when I click on them "install" is greyed out?

I'm confused.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5F136 Safari/525.20)

I've been having quite a bit of trouble this week with the app store on my phone.
Although I can't offer much advice, try restarting your phone to see if that helps.
Good luck. :)

My appstore is doing the same thing with myspace only though. I have deleted it, re installed it and hard reboot. Still there.

Delete App and Empty Trash

I went thru the same thing with the yelp app but was not able to remove the update notification till I deleted the app from iTunes as well as empty the trash and reinstall from itunes and not the app store on the iPhone

I was having the same problem and did what you suggested and still did not work. Called Apple and they said it was a known issue and should be fixed with 2.2. When I asked when 2.2 is coming out they said around Christmas. Are we really gonna have to deal with this till Christmas? Come on Apple!!!

Well, hopefully they stick to that. It's only really a month away.

Good to know it's being addressed by Apple, but I don't want to have to wait a month to have this fixed. I have a (1) on my app store icon because of Sportacular and I can't get it to go away...

I have the same issue with istethoscope, it wants me to update to version 1.0 but i have that version and install is not clickable.

I've removed it from the iPhone and got some strange error before i could install it again, and now i have an annoying little red icon on the app store app, going to reinstall it from iTunes and the iPhone when i come home!

Looks like a lot of app updates came out today. I updated all my apps on iTunes then synced my iPhone and not the red dot is gone!!! Guess the dot stays there till an actual update comes out. BTW the apps that I was having my issue with were Maze Finger and Topple both were updated today.
