This is going to sound incredibly obvious to some of you, but I don't get how to use the apt backup.

I reinstalled 2.1 then used qwkpwn to jailbreak. Before doing so I used the apt backup and then backed up my phone.

That of course wiped out all my jailbroke applications.

So then when I reinstalled app backup and try to restore, it won't because it thinks I never made a back-up (but I did).

Hope this is clear-thanks!

I made this same mistake. You need to move your backup to your computer prior to restoring. Here are instructions for restoring. It's too late this time, but maybe it will help next time.

Haven't tried it yet-but it looks extremely helpful-thanks for the link. I know when 2.2 ships I will have to give it a go.

Just make sure you wait until the new instructions come out from BigBoss or elsewhere. New firmware tends to move things around and change the rules.

How would someone know when this happens? I just heard of this app for the first time like 2 days ago-when and where would instructions be posted?
