APV purchased overseas since international release

There's been a lack of information of what happens now there the AVP has been release internationally.

If I purchased overseas on a trip (because it is cheaper) and activated it in Australia when I return, are there the same restrictions that existed before the international release? (it is now available in Australia)

I'm aware that before the international release apple had the following information:

There are no general restrictions. You can add any Apple ID to the AVP. If your Apple ID is located in a country, that is not supportet yet, you will see no AppStore, Apple TV is as empty as a black hole. Adding an Apple ID of a country that is supported for the AppStore and Apple TV - you are set.

- My AVP / Apple Account is still in an unsupported country. I can access all my stuff of that ID.
- I do have a second account for the Store and Apple TV in Germany.

everything is running like a charm. So, if you "register" your US AVP to your Australian account - you are ready to go for everything.
