i tried installing an AR app to test out on my iPad Air 2 but it says I can’t install it as it’s not compatible... yet it says it’s compatible with the 5th generation iPad which I’m guessing is the original Air

I’ve tried all the AR apps and they’re all the same!

Is anyone else having this issue?

The 5th generation iPad is actually the one that released this year simply named iPad.

The whole 5th generation moniker is confusing, but think of iPad Air, Air 2, mini, and Pro as different lines of iPad and it makes sense.

the AR is a really fun. VERY VERY early into it's inception and right now it's just to show your buddies what cute things you can do with AR on your phone. I can see more practical uses coming very soon. Some are already starting....measuring tape, seeing how furniture looks in your house, anatomical uses for medical students.
