I'm looking for a photoshop tutorial on how to make a button in that style, to use as reference to design my own button for a friends iphone app. I've looked everywhere but cant seem to find a good (or any...) tutorial. If it includes a part about making the same button but pressed in, you get bonus points.

If you guys can help me out that would be awesome!

oh and just for reference, thats a pre-set button in Flash.
 
I think finding an arcade and taking a picture would be alot simpler. :D It's not impossible, but it's very time consuming to make something realistic when taking a picture takes a fraction of the time (depending on how good your photo skills are) .
 
There are tools to make circles, and tools to make bevels, inner glows and shadows. But there are no tools to create the unique hand "painted" details that really make that button stand out.

Good photoshop work requires the skills of a painter as well as a knowledge of tools.
 
I agree that simply purchasing the necessary buttons and taking photos would be a lot faster and probably give better results.
