Hey guys!

Im thinking about buying a 13" mba to be my computer everywhere i go, but I have some doubts about it's performance because there are a lot of different opinions around the web.

It will not be my primary machine, since I have a sony vaio F (heaavyy for carryng around!) and a powerful desktop for gaming and rendering, but i will ocasionally need to do some work on adobe cs5, autocad, and google sketchup light work on the mba. Have you guys ever tried one of this programs? how is the performance?

Not a problem! CS5 runs very well on the 13". So does Autocad. Just make sure to get 4Gb of RAM to be able to work on more complex stuff.
My 13" MBA is not slower than my old 24" iMac.

Agreed. I've been using CS5 on my gf's 13" (while my MBP is getting fixed). CS5 works wonderfully. I just downloaded sketchup after reading your post, cause I was interested, and no problems at all.

These new airs really surprised me. I never looked twice at them, but honestly, after playing with this one for a bit. I'm seriously thinking abt picking up an 11".

This little machine seems to be an excellent company for me, or any other architecture or design student or professional!

I wonder how it will performs with heavier sketchup models and cad drawings! Think i'll have to wait to see! Thanks for the answers guys!
