I inadvertently archived some important email templates in Mail that were saved in a custom folder under "On My Mac" (I was trying to work out how to export them). They all disappeared from the folder and now I can't find them on my Mac using Finder. In fact, I can't find any email files. I've looked closely at Mail sidebar but I can't see any reference to Archive (re. Help doc). Where are my templates? How do I get them back into my Mailbox?

Also worth noting that in the mail app "View-Customize Toolbar" you can add an Archive Folder icon to the toolbar for quick access.
The actual contents of the folder are stored on your mail server.

Actually, the thread wasn't much help to me (tried to follow the suggested instructions but doesn't tally with what I see). My work around was to search for the email templates in Mail finder and copy them to new emails back into the Mailbox.

I removed the Archive Folder icon from the toolbar to make sure I don't make the same mistake again!
