Hi,

I am using ARD on my Xserve to remotely shutdown computers at a given time. However, I am noticing that several computers are not shutting down. The task report for the said computers says Task not authorised.

The odd thing is I can take control of the offending mac and manually shut it down via ARD.

Any advice is much appreciated.

From within System Properties, goto sharing, and then select remote management from the list othe left. Click options from the right and it should bring up a list of about 12 things you want to allow ARD to do. Verify you have the required items checked and you should be good.

Also, there are a few bugs in ARD. (Well, MORE than just a few)
Make sure you wake them first... even if they appear awake already.
