Are AirPods Pro 2 faster/better at switching between active devices?

My APP 1 struggle sometimes to quickly switch when I get a call or change devices. I end up telling callers to "hang on" while I try to get my AirPods to switch to the call.

Sometimes they say they are connected and yet I hear nothing. Then they disconnect quickly.

My hope is that with the H2 that the APP2 will provide faster, more reliable connections between apple devices.

Can any new owners give me some insight yet?

Don't have them yet, but it doesn't seem like it according to this video. Maybe it'll improve in the future with software updates? but who knows.

Interesting, mine have worked perfectly between iPhone 13 Pro/13” MBP last Gen Intel/iPad mini 6.

The only issue I’ve really had is if I manually connect to my Watch while away from my phone, they kick over to the phone once I’m back in range.

Any more experiences on this by now? This would be one of the few reasons for me to actually upgrade!

It does seem to switch a little bit faster when it switched. However, I don't think it switches any more reliably. I might be on the phone and something starts playing on my laptop on a webpage and it steals the sound. Why would I want that to happen? Or I could be listening to something on my iMac and my phone rings. I answer and the sound doesn't switch. why would I want that?

Seems more like Apple doesn't understand the use cases and priorities very well.

But when I manually switch it seems a little bit faster to me, which is important. I have fewer people yelling 'hello? hello?" and then hanging up while I fumble and cuss at my AirPods.

It's not just Apple. I swear software engineers never even try their own products half the time. No way they make some of these decisions if they did.

It's definitely faster but also more buggy its constantly being announced as available in my Mac and even on my iPhone while I'm listening to music. I'm kinda disappointed by the state of the software Apple shipped in this product, many users having sound and connection issues. At least ANC and sound quality are substantially improved.
