I just called my local one, and they said it opens at 10. I just want to make sure I wasn't misinformed.

From all accounts, no stores are opening early. So if your store normally at 10am, that is what time they will open. They may hand out tickets earlier if there is a line, but they won't open the store until it's regular opening hours.

Just see what the hours are on the store website and that is what time they will open.

Cool thanks. What time do you suggest getting there if they open at 10?

Has anyone called BB and seen if they will be carrying the accessories? I'm tempted to go there to pick up the case if they have it and return/sell the one I ordered from Apple once it arrives.

They will. I stopped in the local BB today and the Apple employee was rearranging the shelves. They moved the time capsule and airport products to the router aisle and started putting more than 1 magic mouse in each of the security boxes they store them in. They also moved all of the MacBook cases over to where all of the other cases and bags are displayed.

I've been seeing mixed messages about the dock, but it seems insane for first-party accessories not to be available at launch, but I suppose it's not as if Apple hasn't done it before.

The dock should be there. The keyboard dock, since preorders started, has said that it would not ship til late April (15 is says for me). I just want to pick up a case because my case does not ship til the 3rd (if not later).

They all open at 10 oclock and will have 5 of each size... i work there

You know...I didn't even realize that the Apple stores don't open until 10am on Saturday...and same for Best Buy.

The only place I've found that opens earlier is the Apple Specialist store which opens at 9am.

I'm really hoping that 5 is a worst-case scenario number. Hopefully big metropolitan areas with lots of Best Buys and one or more Apple Stores get smaller shipments, while cities that don't have a nearby Apple Store will get more units. There are many places across the country where a Best Buy may be the only place to get one without driving several hours to an Apple Store, unless you opt to buy online.

All stores no matter where they are will only get 15 iPad's. How do I know this? From the documents that went around and the email response I got back from Best Buy corporate.

You may be right, but someone else who's supposedly an employee said his store was getting 40. The documents that went around, we've all seen them, employees or not. But that doesn't mean that the number 15 is gospel. We probably won't know until Saturday.

False information. Someone has already cleared this up in another thread. They're getting more. And as someone said a few posts up, it depends on if there are Apple Stores nearby or not.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but my store is selling 60 iPads, 20 of each size. And our mini Apple Store was only just put in a month ago

Best Buys around the nation are opening at sporadic times in the 9-10AM range, depending on state/location, which is based off of sales for the store. My store is opening at 9AM.

And to clarify, the iPad will be classified as a 'computer,' so MP3/iPod coupons will not work.
