So the demo of the XS showed the fancy depth slider adjusting focus. Lovely. Fancy new feature only on XS.
Except there are several apps on the iphone X that let you do similar - Focos being the obvious example. So clearly iphone X is storing depth data in portrait photos which 3rd party apps can access.
So will Apple let us edit portrait photos on the X and edit the depth? Or will they lock it out for no clear reason (they shouldn't be expecting X owners to upgrade to XS, and X is being discontinued so for new customers it isn't like they can choose a cheaper option).
