Are battery chargers causing shipping delays?

I am in the Uk and ordered a standard base 21.5 imac on Monday. It has not shipped yet and when i look at my status it says the mac is custom configured.

I phoned to check and the lady said if it's custom, it's coming from abroad. I told her it isn't custom but in the spec of the comouter it includes the battery charger. She said yeah it's proably that then, your printer and ipod are ready to go, just waiting on the computer.

Any time you add something to the computer order, it makes it a 'custom order'. Unfortunately, it DOES mention this to you when you configure your new Mac on Apple's site. I learned this the hard way and now, anytime I want to 'add' something to my order... I don't. I'll pick up the battery charger/magic touchpad/etc. at Bestbuy or the Apple store at a later date.

I can understand why you're upset, but at this point there's not much you can do :-s

I did my order over the phone to get the education discount, i didn't realise this was their procedure.

Ah well, i suppose your right, just got to wait. Cheers for the info.
