Hi All - I just updated my 1st gen AppleTV last night and once I found my movies (I stream only) I noticed that I could not sort them by Genre - or at least I don't know how... Can someone help me out? I had set up all of my daughter's movies in her own genre so she didn't have to sort through all of our movies to get hers.

Thanks!

Quick question, when you say you've updated your 1st gen ATV do you mean updated the ATV's firmware or updated it by replacing it with a new ATV2?

If you've updated your 1st gen ATV to firmware 3.0.2 then you should just be able to goto Movies->My Movies then at the top it says By Genre / By Movie / Unwatched, you can change to "By Genre" by pressing left on the remote.

If I remember correctly, this is the same for the ATV2. I can double check when I get home but I have certainly looked at my iTunes Movie content by Genre :)

Well, your note made me think, all I did was restore my ATV to the factory settings as it was giving me grief. I assumed this would also update it to the lastest 3.0.2, stupid me! I checked for the update and sure enough, after doing that all returned to how I expected it to be. Thank you for your help!!
