Are iMac i7 2.93ghz sold in Apple Stores?

I know on the online Apple Store, the i7 is a custom upgrade option on the i5 quad. But do they sell the i7 in the actual stores too?

Cool. I definitely plan on getting one, just deciding between refurb and instore with edu discount. Refurb is my first choice, as it'll save me about $160 when alls said and done, but there are none on the refurb store at the moment.

Just from past experience, anything that Apple has a BTO is not stocked at an Apple retail store.

Don't blindly believe what others in the forum say, especially if it's the answer you want to hear. If you want to know for certainty, call your local Apple retail store directly and find out for yourself.

Thanks For the input. I have two local Apple stores so if I'm passing by one I'll pop in and see for myself.

And if the refurb store gets some in I won't have to bother!

Just so you know, it seems pretty random that they update it; one minute it'll have them, another it won't. When I bought mine, I actually put one in my cart, and bought a few hours later (when none were on there), but it still let me buy it; they even sent me one the next day rather than the 3-5 days.

I once saw one on display in the Mission Viejo, CA store, and I believe the Irvine Spectrum one as well.

Yes they are, I bought my i7 2.93GHz model at our local Apple store here in Canada.
