Other Are iPhones going USB-C next year?

With all its laptops going USB-C and the rest of the industry moving same way, are iPhones next?

Or will Apple continue with lightning for the forseeable future? Would be nice to just have one standard charging cable for iPad(pro), MacBook and iPhone.
