Are new Mac Pro, iMac, iMac Pro coming out in 2019?

Before I finalize a purchase decision between MBP 15" w/ Vega 20 vs iMac Pro (base) vs Mac Mini i7 base + 10gbe, it would help to know if there's going to be a Mac Pro, new iMac or iMac Pro coming in 2019.

If so, I'm not so sure about going the iMac Pro route at this time.. nor the Mac Mini route. Seems like my best bet would be to go the MBP 15" w/ Vega 20 route instead, because then if there's a new iMac, iMac Pro or Mac Pro, I can evaluate the best option and value, and get one of those when they come out, then I'd have my desktop and mobile solutions covered. Either that or buy whatever represents the most power and features for my dollar today and sell later if I have to.

People are expecting new Mac Pros at some point next year, and the iMac wasn't upgraded this year so there is a high expectation we'll see something for that computer in 2019 as well.

The iMac Pro is an odd juxtaposition. Comparing it against other macs, once the Mac Pro hits the streets, will there be a market for this computer? Its virtually sealed, though the components are technically upgradeable. The new Mac Pro is supposed to be more modular. Comparing the iMac Pro with PCs, using the latest intel CPUs and Nvidia GPUs, and its hard to justify that price. While it is fast, it is very expensive. You can a lot of the performance with a coffee lake based computer and an nvidia based GPU for a lot less what apple is charging and have something that's easier to upgrade.

My point is I don't know if it makes sense to buy an iMac Pro in 2019 and I don't know what Apple could do to make it enticing once the Mac Pro hits the streets. I wouldn't be surprised to see them just let it whither on the vine, like what the Mac Mini and Mac Pro did for years.

iMac Pro: nobody knows (wouldn't be surprised if Apple don't know yet!) - Evidence: what @maflynn said. Also, the Xeon processors from Intel tend to have a slower upgrade cycle than the regular Core series.

iMac: nobody knows, but if they don't release an iMac with 8th/9th gen processors in 2019 it Will Not Be Good. Cautionary tale: certain people here claiming that this was absolutely positively happening this October...

Mac Pro: I think they've actually stated that the new Mac pro will be a 2019 product. However, my wild guess would be a preview at WWDC in June, launch in Oct/Nov 2019 & don't be surprised if you don't get it until Jan 2020. Evidence: that's what happened with the current Mac Pro and the iMac pro.

I think the most up-to-date & powerful thing you could get from Apple at the moment would be a i5 or i7 Mac Mini with an external GPU and storage.

I think its important to remember that processor speeds & capacities etc. are no longer doubling every 2 years the way they did in the old days, and maybe not loose too much sleep over not having the latest everything. However the biggest bump in CPU performance in recent years has come from the 8th gen Core chips, which have basically squeezed in 2 extra cores across the board - which is why its such a pity that the iMacs haven't been updated.

The new Mac Pro is supposed to be more modular.

...but based on what Apple said when they first "announced" that they were working in a Mac Pro, "modular" could mean anything that isn't an iMac or MacBook. I think the only certainties are (a) it won't have the current Mac Pro's 3-sided "thermal core" design and (b) it won't have a built-in display.

Yes, Apple have stated that they are rethinking the Mac Pro design, and it looked that a new one should be coming... sometime... soon...
However: iMac Pro... "stacking" Mac mini's... eGPU options, I'm not sure Apple still thinks they should launch a newly designed Mac Pro in 2019 / 2020. I would welcome one, but I doubt it.

Yes, 2019 is going to be a huge year for desktops.

It will certainly be interesting. Intel seems to be still stuck in the quicksand with their 10nm process, so who knows what CPU's will be available in 2019 from Intel; the Skylake X refresh is not exactly on the cutting edge. I'd love to see new MP's come out with Zen 2 Threadripper CPU's but that's probably unlikely.

A TR2 workstation from Apple would be a unique thing. Not sure if anybody else actually has one planned.
Would also be interesting to see how Apple could (or couldn't) make this thin or silent ;-)

I was excited for new Mac Pros possibly next year until I realized that Apple would probably put a T2 chip in a Mac Pro redesign .
