are non-apple lappies gettting new chipsets?

hi all,

i havent been able to find this again, but i thought i was reading post-CES news about some of the windows laptops starting to come out with (or announced?) intels next chip set. would that be santa rosa? maybe apple will get around to it 6 months later?

any news or thoughts?

i want a new mbp to replace my recently dropped and cracked tibook.
