Just trying to figure out which will be bets for me and want to know if it transfers the full jpegs to iPad or optimizes them first like it does on iPhone.

Optimises for iPad display, does not put on the original images.

There are numerous apps you could use to either put the originals on the ipad or using something like a dropbox account to get to the originals on an iPad though.

I'm pretty sure there is an option on the photos tab in iTunes for the iPad and iPod to send the full pictures. Can't be certain, but I'm pretty sure I saw that.

It used to be, i believe the option to "Include full-resolution photos" was removed from itunes 9 for iPhone, iPod touch & iPad. I think you can still do it but only on a regular (classic) iPod though.

Does anybody know what sort of file sizes the optimised photos have compared to the original iPhoto source, I have two iPhoto libraries, one of them is 17 gig the other is 3 gig, any ideas on what they will be after optimisation, thanks
