hi all


a quick one here

Have you lucky QUAD users ever problems with a noisy QUAD

I mean you have twice the power so hence twice more your CPU working so twice the more fans going !

somehow I doubt that.

its still just a dual processor machine, with 2 cores per processor.

shouldnt be any louder than Rev A G5s.

with time and technology comes advances, and one would think (just like new powerbooks could NEVER be thicker than they are now) that things would get quieter in the next gen.

My quad is quieter than the dual 1.25 GHz G4 it replaced, but then, so is a herd of elephants.

As computers go, I find the quad to be quiet. I really don't notice it, even with the TV off and no music playing.

Super quiet. The only time the fans come on is when you do something really intensive or one of the drives come out of sleep mode. But for normal desktop activity, makes no noticable noise.
