i'm a bit worried that most were returned for dead pixel problems and these are simply resold.

Anyone run into dead pixel probs with buying refurb?

Thanks

Most that are returned were macs that were bought and returned within the 14 day window.

They all go through rigorous inspections, and the outer shell is replaced. In other words, you have a better chance at a perfect imac through the refurbished section, then buying it new. Refurbished products from apple really are like new products.

I actually have a refurbished 24" imac. If you had put it side by side with a new one, there literally is no difference.

I've had my refurbished 21.5 since wednesday and it is in pristine condition.

Agreed. You have a slim chance of getting screen issues in the first place. But even less of a chance with a refurb. I just got a refurb i7 a week ago and it's awesome.
