just wanted to know if the activation servers were back up because I am still not being offered to activate when I plug my phone in...

How is it that I am supposed to activate at home? Whenever I plug in, I am not offered activation like on the first gen.

I am having the same problem.. tells me my software is up to date and it says 1.1.4

Please make sure you are using iTunes 7.7 because older versions of iTunes show 1.1 4 as the latest version.

My software is up to date, since it is a new iphone g3, but it still won't activate the phone.

Your iPhone software is up to date, but that doesn't mean your iTunes is. Double-check that first, before doing anything else. It should be version 7.7.

Yeah, it is the correct version, it is the first thing I did.
