are the new iphone 3gs 3.1.2 jailbreakable?

I want to jailbreak mines, but before I do I want to make sure it will be safe before starting. I just bought it a few days ago from AT&T, it came with 3.1.2 and baseband 5.11.07

I am going to use pwnage to jb it on my mac.

Anything I should be aware of first though?

You need to check the bootrom to see if Pwnage tool will work on it.

If it has the new bootrom, you will need to use Blackra1n and it will be a tethered jailbreak.

There are a half a dozen threads asking this exact same question at the top of this forum, read them and you will understand. Always good to browse first before starting a new thread. Saves looking foolish.
