Looking at the purported new Apple leather loop got me thinking about why I don't like existing aftermarker leather straps, the lugs. You typically get a set of lugs which slide into the AW then the leather band attaches to the lugs, IMO this looks cheap and well looks aftermarket. Apple's leather loops really look much nicer in that they just slide in without any lugs, but I don't like their look and really really hate the magnetic closure which doesn't stay tight at all.

Ideally I'd love to see a traditional leather band that slides into the AW without lugs but with a more traditional buckle system. Anyone seen anything like this in the aftermarket world?

Lugs? You mean how the metal connector is separate?

Yes exactly. Pretty much like Apple's own classic buckle strap but instead of having the metal connectors/lugs the leather just slots into the watch similar to how it does on the leather loop.

Pretty sure the leather loops are the only ones that do that. Even in the third party market.

Agreed. I have yet to see any band, other than the Leather Loop, that is without lugs. The leather bands I have from FFF are a pretty decent match with Space Gray or Stainless Black and don't have a big gap. I've received many compliments and have had people ask where I got them.

Any pics on wrist? They look pretty sharp.

Here's one I found. I've posted this a few times on the forum but I'll add here that I was guided to FFF from another forum member. They are incredibly comfortable, simple, almost an Apple-like design in concept and the customer service is absolutely fantastic. If you order, be sure to read the instructions on how to measure your bands. These are basically custom cut to how you wear sport bands. If you have any issues with your purchase, they will take care of you not only on the initial order but after the fact. I had one that stretched out too much on me, they sent me a replacement strap. This was months after my purchase. Great company, great products.

In terms of comfort, these are right up there with the comfort of sport loops.
