Is it really just the telephoto and front camera they changed? Not even lens changes? Really lazy if so.

Seems like same sensor since the quad-pixel size (2.44µm) hasn’t changed. From their tech specs page:

14 Pro:
48MP Main: 24 mm, ƒ/1.78 aperture, second-generation sensor-shift optical image stabilization, seven‑element lens, 100% Focus Pixels

15 Pro:
48MP Main: 24 mm, ƒ/1.78 aperture, second‑generation sensor‑shift optical image stabilization, 100% Focus Pixels, support for super‑high‑resolution photos (24MP and 48MP)

17 Pro:
48MP Fusion Main: 24 mm, ƒ/1.78 aperture, second‑generation sensor‑shift optical image stabilization, 100% Focus Pixels, support for super‑high‑resolution photos (24MP and 48MP)

You need to add 16 Pro! :) Looking at the various specs given under the "Compare" tab on Apple's website, I have two questions, and yeah, it's possible I've been living under a rock for a while. :D

The iPhone 16 PM specs say:
Pro camera system
48MP Fusion Main | 48MP
Ultra Wide | Telephoto

First, why no MP size given for the telephoto?
Second, what does Fusion mean for iP 16P models, and how does that differ from the iP 17P models, which say "48MP Pro Fusion camera system" rather than "Pro camera system" with no MP spec and no Fusion?

Comparing images from all phones, I only see slight difference in processing. It is nearly identical in main camera photos to 16 Pro. I believe there isn’t much difference with 14 Pro either. Same old quad bayer array with no increase in sensor size. Ultrawide should be still worse than most 12 MP Pro iPhones since they cared only to increase pixel count but not sensor size, it was bad already on 16 Pro and still bad in 17 Pro. As for the telephoto, real tests do not show much difference between 5x 12MP 16 Pro and 4x 48MP 17 Pro, computational 8x zoom doesn’t really look convincing to me, and after 10x quality starts to degrade significantly. Well this was to be expected because these are tiny sensors that do not let much light inside
