Hello,

Back in 2021, Apple kept in stock "Maxed Out" "CTO" 16" Macbook Pro's with M1 Max, 32 GPU Core, 64GB Ram, 4TB Storage in stock at most stores in the USA.

I tried to look for similar config of 16" M2 Max, 38 GPU Core, 96GB Ram, 4TB Storage ... And Apple Website doesn't show any of them in stock anywhere. I'd need to pick this up before an international trip in the next week, so if it isn't around for pickup, the delivery date of March 13 just makes it pointless to even order.

Does anyone know if there's a specific upgraded config that they do have in stock? Is it in the stores and just not listed online?

Thanks in advance!

Anyone working on the Apple retail side wouldn't be able to tell you if they had alternate configurations in stock unless you were physically in the store. Also, given these models launched just over one month ago, it could take time for any alternate configurations to even be made in sufficient quantities to ship to stores for sale.

Well, they did it with the M1 versions.... In December 2022 I purchased a 16" MBP Max with 4 TB SSD and 64 GB RAM. Don't know whether or not they're now offering the new M2 versions in that configuration at the Apple retail stores but if they are not now it's a pretty safe guess that they eventually will.
