Whenever I see these "$300 OFF!" deals and links (AMZN, B&H, etc) it's always for the base models only; base RAM, smallest HD, etc.

Are there ever deals on the fully-loaded models?

Need to get a Mini and an Air fairly soon. But can wait a little bit…

I got my maxxed-out 2018 Mini from the Apple Refurb Store. Looked and worked just like new and has been great for the past three years. Price was about 15% less than new, which is very typical for refurbs, so this can amount to a pretty big savings on top-spec models (about $500 in my case).

Often the models that have received a successor model and are maxxed ones go south in price - even new ones after the successor hit the market - because people who need a mac that is maxxed buy nearly always the current model.

Example: I purchased a new MBP 16“ M1 max processor with 32 GB and 32 core GPU and 2TB SSD 2 weeks ago for 1.200 EUR less than its identical M2 successor…

The M2 processor is just „up to“ (useless) 20% faster - thats all.

So - the purchase of the M1 model saved me a lot of money - about 25% - thats nearly Double of what apple wants for a refurbished Model - and with 2 years full guaranty instead if just 1 year of even „reduced guaranty“ ..

So - this was a no-brainer.
