Are these stats odd in any way?

I upgraded to lion when it came out and since then I find my battery is always low and my computer is always burning and spinning. by looking at the stats here can anyone tell if it's in my head or not?

I checked and no.. I also restarted my computer

Remember to select ALL processes. By default, only your processes will be shown, leaving system processes out. If you did the upgrade very recently, it's most likely Spotlight indexing which is causing this.

Every time I update to a new DP, I have mds worker going nuts because it is re-indexing spotlight.

Ding ding! That's exactly what's going on here. MDS is working over the "new" install and indexes everything.
