Are they crazy? I think they are!

That is insane. There will be plenty of these around and about... even first day. Apple and ATT are dreaming if they think this will sell out first day.

The only one that made sense to me is that in early August there will be plenty of these on eBay at less than cost because of Apple employees selling them off. I do not doubt that.
 
Looks like Apple is going to have plenty on hand first day- estimates are 400,00 for first day. ATT employees are saying they will be getting more on Saturday, too.

Things will be fast and furious for a bit, but I doubt we'll see 400,000 sold first day. You will be able to walk in at 10 PM and just get one, if you want. Or wait 2-3 days and just have apple ship it. HARDLY similar to the Playstation situation when they had 10,000 or so playstations.
 
i'm hoping that a line wont form, but i know it will. i have only 2 stores in the area of 500,000 people that will be carrying it tomorrow.

getting more saturday? first i've heard of that. i bet most sell out the first day, except maybe for stores in smaller markets. most major cities i assume will be out of them for a while.

there are about 500,000 people in my area, 3 at&t stores that will carry it and 0 apple stores .. they told me at the at&t store near me that they expect 12-25 phones tomorrow. if similar stores get the same in the area, then i bet there's a shortage here. that's 75 phones max in the entire area.

Well, it's not like they just made x amount and then stopped. They're pumping them out as fast as they can and I'm sure there are more in the pipeline. Saturday deliveries wouldn't be unusual in this case.

I have read a couple posts here that purport that ATT Managers say they have been alerted to resupply shipments on Saturday. Like all else here, it is a RUMOR, and only time will tell. But the world will not end if you have to wait a day or two, right? And in two weeks, you won't even remember you got it the day after.
