Are user accounts on a Mac isolated from the others? If I create a user account with no admin access on my Mac and someone uses it to browse the web, and they visit shady sites, download who knows what, can I simply delete that entire account without concern that anything they did can affect my main admin account? By deleting their account will it also delete everything they did?

Thanks.

I don't claim to be an expert on such matters, but...

I would think that if you set up a "guest user" non-administrative account, you could then also apply some "parental controls" to it.

Having done so, I will guess that without administrative access, the guest user couldn't do very much damage to the OS install itself (which is supposed to be above and beyond "the reach" of a non-administrative user). Certain parental controls could further limit potential damage.

And you could then delete the entire guest account afterwards, without problems.

But again, I don't have actual experience doing this (no need to), so I can't say with certainty that it will work.
But... I believe that it will.
