Dear all

I'm an iPhone lover for all it's safety features

I've always encrypted my iPhone backups and done them using iTunes

All my apple devices are legit and NO jailbreak etc. all updated to latest OS

But today I was in for a small shock when I found my iPhone voice messages (from voice recorder), on my laptop, as plain voice files. NO I did not manually search and copy them, they were either part of backup or synch

So, bottom-line
(1) are voices messages somehow always un-encrypted when stored on laptops ?
or
(2) is the synch process the culprit here, that synch(s) both voice messages and music un encrypted ? => meaning both are treated outside the backup process ?
(3) IF (2) above is true, going forward, how do I securely store my voice messages on my Win Laptop ? in an encrypted or PW protected way ?

TIA
Best regards
Subu
