At present, my 16-inch M1 MAX 64G is running macOS Monterey 12.2. After starting the screen saver from time to time, there will be a problem of restarting, and it will prompt that the system encounters a problem to start. I am trying to rule out the kernel panic caused by hardware or software. , including third-party software plug-ins, hubs, etc., I want to see if the same problem is encountered in a large area, if it is a hardware failure, I hope to confirm within 14 days, so that I can return my computer.
Or is there a solution to your kernel panic? Why are some people's computers never encountered?

1. Check your console log for crash reports. See if that tells you anything.

2. Run extrecheck to see if it shows any issues.

3. Try running from another new & clean user

4. Try running from safe mode

@kentzh any news? have the same problem! Tried everything
new m1 pro 16' 2021
My kernel panic occurred in 12.2. After upgrading to 12.2.1, it didn't appear again, and there was no hibernation and forced exit of the external hard disk. The new version has solved many problems, and I will continue to observe.
