All I can say is that I believe the Mac Studio is a great door kicker when it comes to Apples transition to silicon.

I'm currently using the MacBook Air M1 and I have big hopes for the future of Apple's chipsets

M1 Pro 16" - Fast, silent (never even heard a fan turn on) amazing battery, gorgeous display...what else can I say? Even runs all the PC games I want to play via the Crossover program.

You wont regret it.

Very pleased. I'm curious as to how the new 'M2's' will be like. I'm approaching my one month ownership and I have never had the fans spin (I monitor it with iStat Menu) with my daily use.

Yes. I used the M1 Air 8gb for one year of software development. Worked amazingly well.

Now I have a 16" MBP M1 Pro and it's even better. Love it. There is no equal.

Waiting for M3 using TSMC 3nm for my next upgrade.

Never thought there would be worthy successor to my MBP 2015 but Apple recuperated from the Dark Ages of butterflies and thermals. Rest in peace MBP 2015, you deserve it, welcome almost-fully specced out 16" M1 Max for data science. You've brought me nothing but pleasure over the past 5 months.

Full CPU power all day without needing to plug in for performance mode and it doesn't even get hot at all. It has been super stable.

Had my M1 MacBook Air for over a year now and I've been loving it since! My fastest and most powerful Mac currently on hand. What also surprised me was that I configured the order online so it'd have 16 GB of unified memory, and my order shipped out from the Chinese plant only four days after placing it! They must've already been making quite a few Airs in that configuration in anticipation of someone ordering one.

I’m definitely happy with my MacBook Air M1 16GB with 1TB SSD. It cost $400 less (calculating for inflation) than the MacBook Pro 15” 2014 with i7 and 16GB I bought in 2015, and performs way better than the MacBook Pro ever did. I love the smaller size too. I’m able to run Lightroom, Photoshop CC, Final Cut Pro, and any other memory hog at lightning speeds and without any issues.

I've had the M1 mini for nearly a year and I'm still surprised by how responsive it is for things like iMovie, screen sharing, etc. I never thought my '17 MacBook Pro (i7 2.9Ghz) was ever slow but always felt it was more-than-enough for my usage until the M1.

To be honest, I'm far away than impressed, I'm astonished. I'd never thought such a power-efficient chip could have that beef at the same time, and this is just the beginning. I wasn't throwing my bucks to an Apple laptop since 2012, around May 2021 I got a refurb 13" MBP M1 to replace my oldie one. It was, in a word, amazing.

Then the new ones came out, casually my GF had to renew her laptop ... so I gave her the M1 and got myself a 14" M1 Pro. Enjoyed it like a beast, so much that I decided to do a final move, get rid off the hackintosh after 15 years (my daily driver till that moment) and return the Pro to get a Max 24GPU and make it my daily driver and also the true laptop replacement (better screen, speakers, webcam & more ports, OMG) I needed, couldn't be happier.

And speaking from a hackintosh (desktop) prospective as well, the Studios for the first time in many many time are paragonable, not only in potence but also in price with a relatively similar configuration that you could build for yourself, but of course, getting rid of the headaches with OpenCore (or whatever you chose) to make a system fully functional and stable to work. If I didn't had to renew my laptop, definitely, the Studio would be on my table right now, can't say if Max or Ultra, but it would be there. That was a tough battle to win and looks good for Apple if they continue to deliver this perfomance.

A final and repeating mantra, this is just the beginning.

MBA M1 16gb
MBP M1 Max 64gb.

Very happy with these two machines.

The MBA has been the perfect take everywhere machine, without being underpowered or battery hog.

Currently using the MBP in clamshell mode on a Odyssey G9 Neo monitor at 120hz. I‘m waiting for the next MacMini, then I’ll free the MBP from clamshell jail.

Same here, using my MBP M1 Max most of the time in clamshell mode as a desktop replacement, though I'm interested in the next Mac Studios and what will they offer.

To be honest, I think if someone needs to renew the whole setup (laptop+desktop) as I had to do, now I would go again with a single computer, and that would be MBP 14" M1 Max again, specially when you see the benchmarks with the same chip on the Studio. Works perfect in clamshell mode and it's a superb laptop. It's 800$ more but offers best of both worlds IMHO. Of course, if you need CPU power, M1 Ultra joins the room and gives the scene a total different colour.

Let's see how the future generations evolve, but this looks promising.

Except for the size and ports, the M1 Air is perfect. And the size is pretty good too, I'm just picky and want one 12" MacBook sized .

Coming from an 11" 2015 Air, I wanted a better screen and double the performance. The M1 Air surpasses everything I wanted from a MacBook, it is three times faster, has better battery life, no fan noise, graphics performance that makes playing some games possible, the screen is good and up to standard Apple quality, and the speakers are good. And a 1TB Mac that's not in the price gouging range of Mac upgrades.

The 2 ports is an annoyance, but manageable. Especially because the battery life is good, you can use 2 ports for peripherals for a while. And looks like Apple is past the only usb-c phase of hardware.

I use Macs for Logic Pro, and I could push the limits of the 2015 MBA... Outside of benchmark experiments, the M1 Air hasn't come close to being limiting.

I'm very impressed with the M1. I was on the fence of switching before, but with few reservations, the M1 is keeping in the Apple ecosystem.

While I don't want my 2017 (2018 purchase) iMac to fail (I have applecare+ just in case) I really kind of want it to die suddenly so I can get a Studio (although I know it would get replaced with an identical 2017 iMac under warranty....)
