Other Are you wary picking up the iPhone at the UPS?

I live in the city and let’s face it nobody will be home to sign for the package. So I have to call UPS and pick it up from the hub. I live in a decent neighborhood, but it’s the ups hub location is not the best and a lil sketchy. Is anyone worried that they may get jumped? I’m literally holding One hella costly phone in my hand and it always worries me that these thief/crooks know it’s iphone launch and a lot of people are picking up iPhones at the ups hub. This opens potential targets to appleheads like us.

That’s why I conceal carry. You could always bring somebody with you (Like the ‘Buddy’ system) if you’re concerned about the dangers of the unknown in your area to pick up your phone at the UPS hub. I don’t have any current issues like that in my city, but everybody else might be different.

I have picked up phones from FedEx and UPS numerous times. There’s usually not even anyone else there other than the workers. And you’re just getting a brown box.
 
Yea I’ve done pick ups almost every year. I guess I’m just paranoid bout ghetto people lol

Even if I didn’t carry, I really don’t think I would worry about any issues while picking it up. The Porch Pirates are going to be out looking for easier scores versus a physical confrontation. In my opinion, of course.

Yea I guess I’m sheltered lol. I’m more concerned about people who are uncivilized.

Yea, I like the Classic SIGs (and adore the FA MPX I shot earlier this year) but the 320 just doesn't get my motor running. My EDC is a classier Walther PPS M2 :cool:

Are you going there at night or something? Just drive up to the office door, get out, get your package, and get back in your car. You're acting like you're walking down back alleys at night after leaving the bank with $50k in cash. The number of people that will be going to your UPS hub to get an iPhone on release day are so small, I highly doubt anyone would camp out there waiting for you. Rather, they'll just drive by neighborhoods looking for one left on the front steps.
 
I’m 6’9”, 250 ish, look like I’m mad all the time, and i carry. There are plenty of softer targets for people who want to try that kind of foolishness.

Really, though, I suspect with all the cameras and random traffic, people might realize that’s probably not the best place for something like that.
