Okay... so I have had Twinkle for about a month. It started out working fine. Now, for some reason... it's been oh... 9 days now, and even though the app states that I am INDEED logged in to Twitter, my tweets are ONLY going out on Twinkle... through the &^*#%! Tapulous network.

Don't get me wrong, I love Tap Tap Revenge as much as the next bored individual, and Twinkle IS a pretty app, but Jaysus! I need an app that will update my tweets with Twitter, because I'm also wanting them to appear on my blog (where they will indeed appear IF I go directly through Twitter from my desktop).

I like the ability to see what people near me are up to, like with Twinkle.

I need the ability to upload photos, due to the nature of the tweets I'm doing for my blog.

Sooo... any suggestions?

The app store is SO vague. People are all love/hate/love/hate with every one of those apps, and rather than download all the free ones and dink around with them, I was hoping that someone could shed some light on either which app would work for me OR what the heck is wrong with Twinkle.

Heeelp!

I've been using Twitterrific. It's better than Twinkle for just connecting to Twitter and not having to use an extra server.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling Twinkle, turning Twitter off and back on.

It has happened to me before but I fixed it by doing those things.

The only Twitter client with nearby is Twinkle as far as I know.

twitterfon......free, no bells and whistles, does what it is supposed to do, follow twitts and allow you to view timelines. nothing more nothing less, and most importantly, not buggy

I have 2 suggestions:

1) Twitterific. It's recently been updated and is now very responsive and smooth and a very nice app (I even bought the "Pro" one). It now has a public timeline view and a few other tweaks. You can't look at a "nearby" list like you can with Twinkle, but if someone tweets near you it does show that they are near you on the tweet.

2) Twitterlator Pro. This has search functionality built into it, so if the "nearby" stuff was important to you then you can do a search. For example if you were to search for "London" then all the tweets that mention London would come up. Every search that you do is saved into a search list so you can bring the searches up whenever you like.

ok, im using twitterific and got a question.
How to see my favourites?
I added this website to my favourites but cant find any button on the iphone appz.

This actually worked for me.

It's the 2nd time I've had to do it though, so obviously, it is frustrating!

Thanks!

Thanks to some of the other suggestions on here, I have been giving Twitter a try. I've not tried Twitterlator, and maybe I should try that next.

This whole deal with Twinkle and having to pass through the Tapulous network actually bugs me anyway.

Thanks for the advice!
