I used to play this game on windows - i didn't really remember what it was called. I did some googling and I think i've found it - it's called Jezzball (also known as Qix)
Anyway, I found (on macrumors: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/212771/) that this game is available for the mac, and it's called Encompass. But it doesn't work on Leopard! I've been searching for this game for such a long time, and it's a real pain that now I can't play it coz I have the world's most advanced operating system!
So, does anyone here know of any alternatives that are available and compatible with Leopard? Or if any other (free) version of this game exists?

yikes didn't realize that i hadn't downloaded Stuffit on my mac yet, the .sit file opened a crazy Textedit file...this game was what i was looking for!

If you have parallels or fusion, you can get the jezzball in the Windows 95 Plus pack (easily found on the net). Just another option! :D
