The Developer probably got tired and bored of updating the App every week for not much return.

^Thanks. Everything's clear now. Well, unfortunately, due to removal of 'what's new' updates, the AppShopper app has become much much less useful. That was one of the few features why I kept using the app. Sometimes Apple can be such an ass.
