Thanks for the heads up. Navigon integration is nice. Gonna check this out.

That's very cool, actually. Saves me having to suffer through Navigon's boot time until I actually find somewhere I want to go.

This is awesome!!! AroundMe's POI search is sooo much better and easier on the eyes :p Thanks! :)

I've only played around with this for a little bit but I can definitely see where this could be very useful. I tested it with a couple of destinations (pulling them into Navigon) and it worked flawlessly. Awesome!

Has anybody done something like this for the TomTom app? I have noticed some places just don't exist in TomTom's POI database. I would prefer to use Google database to search for POIs.

My current solution is to find the POI using the standard iPhone's map search, add the POI to my contacts, and then navigate to the contact in TomTom.

I am not aware of anything. In fact wouldn't suprise me if this announcement suprised TomTom and Magellan ... Navigon's had a bit of a headstart on features and vision. Tho, I may be wrong.

Same functionality integrated in NavigArt, but much easier to use. Check the free version NavigArt Lite which reached top 20 free nav apps very quick.
