I am a professional photographer. On my iPhone, I arrange my portfolio by using file names (00.jpg, 01.jpg...) and that properly orders my photos. But on my iPad, the photos are arranged by capture time, which I don't want. I see the reasoning behind this, but I don't want it to work this way in my case.

Any idea how I can get everything to appear in the proper order? And to complicate things, I need to have my logo as the first photo and my business card as the last, and those are exported from Photoshop whereas the actual photos are coming from Lightroom.

Your best bet may be to create an album in iPhoto and sync it over. Good luck! :)

Something that I cannot do on the iphone but that I should be able to do in the iPad is add a photo to an album.

Is that possible?

The best solutions are almost always the simplest which are almost always the easiest...

Why didn't I think to do that?

Edit: Just tried that and of course it works perfectly. Thanks for pointing out iPhoto!

Of course that works but it should not be necessary.

If the iPad is to be the device it's marketed to be I should be able to manipulate albums on it. This is just one thing missing.

Don't get me wrong I like it but I should be able to manipulate albums on it otherwise it's just a "slave" device.
