I've got an annoying issue in that the arrow seems to flicker when it should be another icon, e.g. cursor in word, zoom tool in lightroom or positioning icon in iMovie. I've tried to highlight this in the video below. It happens with every bit of software where the arrow changes to some other 'tool'. It happens whether I run the app natively or in Rosetta. This does not happen when moving the arrow around when it is just needed/used as an arrow such as moving the arrow around on the desktop

Is this an annoying glitch that apple need to fix (i.e. it's common) or is there some issue with my Macbook? I've got the Macbook Pro M1 Max 16" running OS Monterey 12.1

Any help would be appreciated.

Just updated to Monterey 12.2.1 and it appears to have fixed the issue

So I looked at what'd changed since it got better and some apps had updated so I deleted some one by one that I don't use anymore, deleting LiuHai-hide topnotch app seems to have fixed it again, but I'll wait and see what happens over the next few days.
